About Augur
Augur transforms legacy sensor systems into real-time operational intelligence. We help organisations act before threats escalate – not after damage is done. Everything we build is privacy-first by design.
Our platform connects to existing cameras and sensors to detect threats, retrace events, and surface real-time insights – all without replacing a single device. Augur helps teams reduce risk, cut costs, and grow revenue through better visibility, faster decisions, and fewer blind spots.
Our culture is built on a foundation of radical candor and mutual trust. We recognise that being an industry leader requires more than just building exceptional products – it requires empowering a team of exceptional people. Individually, we operate with high autonomy; collectively, we’re unified by a shared drive to achieve our mission through a commitment to excellence.
We are looking for a Senior Sales Director - CNI to lead Augur’s commercial growth across non-public-sector CNI verticals. This is a senior, revenue-accountable role focused on building and converting pipeline across stadiums, energy, mining, data centres, and other critical infrastructure environments where Augur’s perception engine can deliver measurable operational value.
Reporting to the Managing Director of the Disruptive Research Division, you will own the full sales cycle within your verticals: identifying and qualifying opportunities, leading commercial conversations at senior stakeholder level, and closing contracts. You will be expected to develop deep sector expertise and build the relationships necessary to position Augur as a trusted partner for organisations operating in regulated, high-security environments.
Beyond initial sale you will work closely with engineering, customer success and product teams to translate client requirements into scalable solutions, connecting Augur’s technical capabilities to tangible operational and commercial outcomes.
This is a high-autonomy, externally-facing role. As our CNI portfolio scales, you will play a central part in shaping go-to-market strategy for these verticals and will be expected to contribute to the broader commercial direction of the business. There is a clear path to building a team beneath this role as the portfolio grows.
What You Will Do
Pipeline Development and Revenue Generation
Originate, progress, and close deals across CNI verticals including (but not exclusively) stadiums, energy, mining, and data centres. Build a robust and qualified pipeline through targeted outbound engagement, industry events, and referral networks. Own revenue targets and report against them with precision.
Sector Strategy and Market Positioning
Develop deep knowledge of the operational, regulatory, and procurement landscapes within each target vertical. Shape Augur’s positioning and messaging for CNI audiences, working with the wider commercial and marketing functions to ensure materials and case studies land effectively.
Strategic Partnership Development
Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including heads of security, operations directors, and facilities management leadership, positioning Augur as a long-term strategic partner rather than a transactional vendor. Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement environments with confidence.
Client Lifecycle and Account Growth
Manage accounts post-sale to ensure strong delivery, measure commercial and operational impact, and identify in-contract growth and expansion opportunities. Act as the primary client relationship owner for your portfolio.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, customer success and product teams, to shape solutions, align technical capability with client requirements, and ensure that what is sold can be delivered to the standard expected. Clearly communicate what is possible with the product – and what is not.
What We Are Looking For
Proven Commercial Track Record
Demonstrable success in originating and closing complex, high-value deals. You have built pipeline, managed enterprise or institutional sales cycles, and delivered against revenue targets in environments where procurement is not straightforward.
CNI or Adjacent Sector Experience
Direct experience selling into one or more of the following is strongly preferred: stadiums and large venues, energy and utilities, mining and extractives, data centres, or other critical infrastructure environments. Candidates with a strong track record in adjacent sectors – such as physical security, building management systems, or operational technology – will also be considered.
Senior Stakeholder Engagement
Comfortable operating at board level and across complex organisational structures. You can hold a room, lead a negotiation, and build the kind of trust that sustains long-term partnerships.
Commercial Acumen
Strong understanding of pricing, procurement processes, and commercial negotiation. Ability to connect product capability to tangible business outcomes and articulate value in terms the client cares about.
Autonomy and Ownership
Comfortable operating independently with significant responsibility. You set your own priorities, manage your own time, and deliver results without requiring close supervision. This is not a role for someone who needs a large support infrastructure around them.
Team Leadership Potential
Ready to build and lead a team as the CNI portfolio scales. You are willing to mentor others, develop processes, and contribute to the operational maturity of the commercial function.
Desirable
Experience with AI, computer vision, or analytics platforms. Existing network within UK or international CNI operators. Understanding of physical security operations and control room environments. Familiarity with regulated procurement frameworks. Security clearance or willingness to undergo vetting.
Accessibility and inclusivity
At Augur, our culture is built on radical candor and mutual trust. To solve the complex, physical-world problems our customers face, we need a team that thinks differently.
Whether you’re self-taught, have a non-traditional background, or are returning to the workforce, if you have the grit and the experience we’re looking for at Augur, we’d love to hear from you.
We are committed to fostering a diverse workplace and ensuring an accessible hiring experience - please let us know if you require any accommodations during the interview process to help you do your best work.
